Bob Moore Volkswagen Dog Adoption Event in Oklahoma City

If you’re looking for a new addition to your family, the Bob Moore VW Dog Adoption event is coming up soon! Our dealership is hosting an adoption event in partnership with local animal shelters to ensure we find loving homes for dogs in need throughout the Oklahoma City metro area. We want to ensure our furry friends find the right landing spot, but if you aren’t looking to adopt, there are plenty of other reasons to visit! We’re making a day of it, with fundraising opportunities, an inflatable bounce house, and a Volkswagen car show featuring vintage and new models throughout the years! 

The VW car show will be a tribute to the classic KONG toy, which is making a limited-time comeback in 2025! Decades ago, a mechanic, Joe, and his dog, Fritz, were working on a Volkswagen Bus when Joe noticed Fritz wouldn’t stop chewing on the VW Bus’ spare rubber axle stop. No matter how hard Fritz chewed, he couldn’t destroy it—seeing this inspired Joe to launch the KONG dog toy, in the same snowman shape as the original axle stop. Now, VW is teaming up with KONG to launch a limited edition VW Bus-themed dog toy. For every toy purchased, Volkswagen and KONG will donate to a local shelter.

To make all this happen, Bob Moore VW is partnering with the VW Club of Oklahoma, VW Audi Klub Oklahoma, and the Marquieros Club, with the goal of finding homes for as many dogs as possible. Even if you aren’t looking to add a dog to your home, we’d love to have you! We’ll have activities for kids and enthusiasts alike, plus food trucks so you won’t go home hungry. The dog adoption event takes place at Bob Moore Volkswagen dealership on Saturday, May 10th, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Contact us to learn how you can get involved!
