The long-awaited Volkswagen ID.Buzz has finally hit US shores, and somehow, it exceeds the hype. You may have seen the ID.Buzz in the news for its retro style or its all-electric power and thought it seemed gimmicky, but the ID.Buzz delivers an experience you truly will not find anywhere else. Best of all? It’s incredibly functional. The ID.Buzz has a cavernous cabin with features you haven’t seen anywhere else, especially not in a minivan. 2025 marks the first year of production for the VW ID.Buzz, and it’s made an immediate impact. It has rocketed to the top of all the leaderboards, earning a perfect 10/10 from Car and Driver and their number one spot in the minivan segment, outpacing gas rivals like the Toyota Sienna and Honda Odyssey. It also earned a spot on their Editors’ Choice list and their 10 best trucks, SUVs, and vans list for 2025. The Volkswagen ID.Buzz electric van doesn’t exist as pure nostalgia. It’s functional and well-suited for all the trials your kids will put it through. Explore how EV ownership might impact your family with Bob Moore VW in Oklahoma City.
The ID.Buzz runs the same platform found in the Audi Q4 e-tron and VW ID.4, meaning you’ll get the base model with a single rear-mounted electric motor and a dual-motor, all-wheel drive option. The base configuration makes 282 horsepower, while the two-motor setup offers 335 horses. At its quickest, it runs up to 60 mph in 6 seconds, quite a feat for a minivan. The Buzz has an 86.0-kWh battery pack with RWD models getting 234 miles and the AWD Volkswagen ID.Buzz range sitting at 231 miles per charge. When plugged into a DC fast-charger, the ID.Buzz can go from 10 to 80 in 26 minutes and from 10 to 90 in 33 minutes. Find a “VW ID.Buzz near me” at our Volkswagen dealership in OKC today!
Aside from the retro, two-tone design, the interior of the ID.Buzz is the highlight of the vehicle. It offers a wide range of configuration options you won’t find in other minivans or SUVs, thanks to its size. Front seats have adjustable armrests, while seats in the rear seats have tables that fold out of the front seats. Customization options are nearly unlimited, as you can fold the seats flat and remove the center console to create a camper-esque interior to put a mattress on or stow your gear. Try installing an ID.Buzz table to turn it into a true camper van! Whether you’re buying the ID.Buzz to be your camper van or to take the kids to practice, you’ll have plenty of space. The third row offers industry-leading passenger space while still allowing for 18.6 cubic feet of cargo space in the rear. With the 2nd row folded and the 3rd row removed, you can access up to 145.5 cubic feet of cargo space in total. One of our favorite features on the VW van is the optional panoramic glass sunroof. It uses “Smart Glass”, which allows you to switch it between clear and opaque with the touch of a button. Bring your family to our OKC Volkswagen dealership to test drive the 2025 VW ID.Buzz today!
For its debut, the ID.Buzz comes in five trim levels:
4MOTION models feature AWD and the extra horsepower afforded by the additional motor. No matter which option you spring for, the ID.Buzz is remarkably well-equipped. The Pro S comes standard with heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats, an illuminated VW logo, and a 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen. The drawback of the Pro S is you don’t have access to the exciting two-tone color options like the rest of the lineup. If that isn’t important to you, that’s the model we’d recommend. That said, it’s hard to resist Cabana Blue, Pomelo Yellow or Mahi Green paired with Candy White. Another trim level we like is the Pro S Plus with 4MOTION, giving you more power, more color and more configuration options. This model comes standard with captain’s chairs in the middle row, which we prefer.
